Something Special Has Happened at Sukhothai Leeds City Centre

There’s never been a better time to visit our flagship South Parade restaurant — and if you haven’t been in a while, prepare to be surprised.

Sukhothai Leeds City Centre has always been more than a restaurant. Since the very beginning, it’s been a place where Thai tradition meets Yorkshire warmth: a space where business dinners feel special, celebrations become memories, and a Tuesday night out somehow turns into your new favourite evening in Leeds. That spirit hasn’t changed. But almost everything else has.

A Stunning New Upper Floor

We’re thrilled to unveil a complete redesign of our upper floor — and it’s quite something. Featuring brand new booth seating, intimate lighting, a new bar area and beautifully chosen new furnishings, the space has been transformed into something altogether more refined. Whether you’re settling in for a long, leisurely dinner or marking a special occasion, the new upper floor offers a sense of occasion that feels entirely its own. Elegant, warm, and unmistakably Sukhothai.

A New Menu Built for Adventurous Palates

Our kitchen has been equally busy. Alongside the beloved classics that have made us one of Yorkshire’s most celebrated Thai restaurants, we’re delighted to introduce a collection of exciting new dishes that push things in a wonderfully indulgent direction.

Think luxury oysters, a stunning seafood platter, and succulent river prawns — plus much more besides. These are dishes designed to be lingered over, shared, and talked about long after the evening ends. Rich, considered, and full of the bold flavours that have always defined cooking at Sukhothai, the new menu is a genuine statement of intent from our kitchen team.

You’ll of course still find the guest favourites that keep people coming back — from our rich Massaman beef short rib to the iconic Weeping Tiger steak — but there’s a vibrant new chapter of the menu just waiting to be explored.

Still the Sukhothai You Know and Love

At its heart, nothing has changed about what makes Sukhothai special. Our talented chefs are still cooking with the finest ingredients, our front-of-house team are still delivering the genuine Thai hospitality that defines every visit, and our glass-fronted theatre kitchen is still putting on a show with every service.

Our VIP dining room — which has welcomed everyone from Hollywood stars to Leeds United legends — remains available for private hire, making us one of the most sought-after private dining venues in the city. And our Thai Bottomless Brunch continues every Saturday and Sunday from noon, with a two-course meal or three tapas plates and 90 minutes of bottomless drinks for just £35 per person.

Come and See for Yourself

We’re at 15 South Parade, right in the heart of Leeds city centre, just off the Headrow. We’d love to welcome you in to experience the beautiful new space, explore the exciting new menu, and raise a glass to this next chapter in the Sukhothai story.

Book your table at sukhothai.co.uk — we can’t wait to see you.
